When I woke up the next morning, the space beside was empty. I heard the shower running in Marina’s room, and I decided to take one myself.

I didn’t want to dwell on what happened last night, and I hoped she wouldn’t bring it up. It was awkward enough remembering how good her fingers had felt.

A quick shower and shave later, I was pulling on some shorts and a T-shirt. While I was brushing my teeth, Marina strolled into my bathroom uninvited.

“What are you doing in here?” I asked with a mouth full of toothpaste.

“I’ve been thinking about last night and the problem you had,” she said bluntly, and I nearly spit out my toothpaste.

I rinsed my mouth out. “Which one? The virgin thing or the G-spot thing?” I forced myself to look her in the eyes.

She smirked and bit down on her lower lip, an action that would never have drawn my attention before last night. Now, seeing her in a tank top and yoga pants molded to her body made my heart skip a beat. Her long blonde hair flowed to her shoulders, and her brown eyes fixed on mine.

“Well, we already solved one last night,” she said with a slight giggle. She smiled and looked me up and down.

“And the other?”

“I can help with that too,” she said.

Some of my spit went down the wrong pipe, and I started coughing pretty hard.

“What was that?” I wheezed.

“Calm down, Jasmine. It’s not that big of a deal.”

I stared at her with a gaping mouth, and then I turned my head away to cough some more.

“What exactly are you proposing?”

“That we have sex. You don’t want to be a virgin anymore, and I’ve never been with another woman before. It’s a perfect match,” she suggested.

I had to blink a few times and rub my ears to process what I just heard.

“You want to have sex with me?”

“Well, not with you particularly, but you’re around, so it works. I’m curious as to what it’s like to be with another woman, and you want to get rid of your virginity. It’ll be new for both of us, and we’re best friends so it won’t make things awkward.”

I tried to be as gentle as I could. “Marina, I think we need to have a talk. You are not straight.”

She rolled her eyes. “Of course, I am. I’m curious is all. When I was eighteen and wanted to lose my virginity, my male friend offered to do it with me. I’m extending the same courtesy.”

I shook my head. “This is more than just curiosity. You fingered me to an orgasm last night, and now you’re suggesting that we have sex. I think you’re bisexual.”

She blinked slowly, and I watched as the realization dawned on her face.

“Oh,” she said. “Shit, I think I might be. But don’t all women fantasize about other women?”

“Nope, and you kissed my neck last night when you were touching me.”

“That was an innocent kiss,” she protested.

I crossed my eyes and stared at her.
